Thank you for taking action & Good News

First, the good news: Jackie, and Beau have found families who are busy now with their paperwork. On about the same day that Jackie found his family, another 13 year old boy who I had not featured yet, Joseph, also found a family.  These 2 older boys were giving up hope as their friends left one by one and they were left there waiting. In the not to distant future, they will learn of their new families and their burdens will be lifted. Beau, is too young to understand. But when he is older he will understand the great blessing you have given him.

I generally do not ever know the specifics of the families but invite their families to post in the comments regarding their story if they are inclined. Adoption is a miricle. It starts with the matching of children to families and, therefore,  is a direct result of people like you who like them, love them, share them; blog, talk, and encircle them with compassion.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Craig

P.S.  The chase is not over and I ask you to not back off. We have many more children waiting. Many will only find families with your help.

Comimg ip soon: More Henry...

Great morning for Beau-development update.

This morning an update came in for Beau with nothing but good news. To start off we have updated photos. He is growing into a fine young fellow.

Next, the impression he made on a visitor in March of this year:
"This boy just makes me beam. How I enjoyed chasing balloons with Beau in his play room in March 2012. He has a giggle that lights up your heart."

Third, he is currently recovering from surgery in July to straighten his feet. You will note the casts on his legs....but not as much as the fun radiating from his face.

Fourth, a development update. According to the experts he is as smart as anyone his age and is talking up a storm. (He is apparently asking for his Mama.) He's a friendly little bug and is bonding well with his care takers and other children.

Fifth his resistance is strong and he rarely gets sick.

According to his caretakers, he has a "ready smile and a powerful personality," he's fat (which I assume means he needs his cheeks squeezed) and he loves a good cookie!

All in all, he's just an amazing kid waiting for his family but he is waiting for his family. Now that his concerns are being addressed, it should be easier for us to find his family. If you've read this, please take 30 seconds and share it somehow with someone you know in some kind of way.

Thanks. And as always, like him, love him an share him,

 Craig

P.S.  Help raise adoption awareness of these special needs and older children by shareing the link: click the Facebook, Twitter, G+1, Blogger, or email icons below or adjacent to this blog. Thanks!

Beau

/
Beau                                                                                Cole

Beau. Beau. Beau. Beau. Beau.  This little fellow reminds me so much of our little Cole before we met him.  Both are wearing crayon colors, both are about 2 years old, both are loving life, both are cute as a button and happy as can be, and both have bilateral (both sides) club feet.  The big difference is that Cole has a family and Beau needs one.  The reality is that Beau desperately needs a family.

Beau has less than 2 weeks left with his listing agency, Children's House International. After that, his file goes into the holding place for unadopted waiting children with 2000 other children.  But Beau also needs help with his feet.  As children get older, the repair of club feet requires more attention and more specialization.  So, the sooner Beau finds a family, the sooner he can get help on his feet.

Our son Cole was just over 2 years old when he came home.  We found an excellent doctor to help us with Cole and after a few months of casts Cole could run. Cole wore his brace for about 3 years at night and is doing very well.  There are good Doctor options scattered around the country.  Feel free to contact me if you would like help finding one or if you have general quesitons about the process or potential.  Also, see Special Feet for an ongoing story about a family who is going through the earlier stages of correction.

Beau needs this type of attention sooner than later.  But even more importantly He needs a Mama to pinch his chubby cheeks, teach him how to hug, and help him with his unsteady steps.  He needs a Daddy to roll on the floor with him, toss him in the air, and hold him while he falls asleep.  He really just needs a family.

Beau needs your help to find his family.  The internet is an amazing tool when people care enough to spread the word.  I encourage you to spread the word through your blogs, include him in your circles, like him, love him, and share him.  2 weeks.  He can not find his family.  He is relying on people like you.

Like him, love him, share him,

Craig

P.S. for more information, feel free to contact  me, or Children's House International directly.
